What is Forum Marketing? This regularly overlooked and totally free method of traffic generation is worth devoting an entire book to the layout of tactics and strategies. There are some pretty good offerings on the net. You can grab a few at the Internet Mentor Vault. Forum marketing is the tactic of regularly searching for and participating in a forum or forums that are highly targeted towards your niche. Posting useful information that benefits other forum members builds your credibility in the forum, and, eventually, starts the other participants wondering if you have other goodies to offer outside that forum. Your forum signature comes in handy for leading them by the nose towards your site. If it's constructed properly, it can be a huge source of traffic from forums where you have developed a reputation as a knowledgeable participant. Don't overlook link relevancy though. If you participate in a forum about fast cars, while trying to promote your gardening supply business, you aren't going to get much attention from the community, and the search engines won't be much interested in your links either.
