Wallstreet Bailout, Take 2: Pork? What Pork?
The largest US Government bailout in history just got bigger. Its now 810 to 850 billion, depending upon who is being honest. Many suspect it will spiral into the trillions of dollars. Lets see how our prospective leaders are handling it. John McCain: I will veto all pork I will make them famous You will know their names Uhh, John, isn't this 150 billion in totally red herring pork tacked on top of the largest pork bill for Wall Street EVER? Give me a break. Change is coming? Barack Obama: We need change You had a chance to step up and show that democrats do NOT fall in love with every pork-laden spending bill they ever met. That they can actually be fiscally-conservative for a refreshing change. I guess fiscal, conservative, and democrat don't belong in the same sentence. A total oxymoron. And you went to Harvard? Did you really? Joe Biden: You voted for it, of course. Oh, goodie, another yes-man for VEEP. Sarah Palin: Uh, (squirming), the leg bone is connected to the health care, which is dependent upon...uh, it has to be all about job creation. Sarah, you just dont have the brain power to be held accountable on this one. We have major crises around the world. In Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Darfur, North Korea, and elsewhere in the middle east, to name a few. We are cranking out more humans and gobbling up natural resources at superhuman speeds. We stand at the edge of a cliff. And yet, the deepest crisis we face is one of political leadership. I will close with a famous quote from the 20th century, which some may have banished from memory: We need law and order. Without order and order, our nation cannot survive. (Adolph Hitler)
