The Mini Forum Post: A Blog Comment You've all heard the drill. Sign up for big, high-traffic authoritative forums, build a little reputation, make a signature file that links back to your site and start posting! What many overlook is the forum post's less glamorous but oh-so-powerful cousin: the Blog comment. A comment on a high traffic blog, carefully selected to align with your particular niche, is a monstrous weapon, if you use it appropriately and consistently. Singlehandedly, it can: - Build your site a nice high PR backlink (oh, and it's FREE!) - Let the blog's author know who you are. Wonder of wonders! Blog authors actually take journeys to the web sites of their comment posters! Sometimes. - Lead to joint venture relationships with the blog's author or even fellow commenters who are also interested in that niche, reading your comment, and in some cases, visiting your site. - (Rarely) lead to a link from another commenter or just a blog consumer / lurker. So, what are you waiting for? Get out there and find some great blogs to comment on! The authors love them!
