Springtime is here and so are all the allergies
With winter fading, and days warming, the birds are singing, the squirrels are scurrying again, and creatures are coming out of the woodwork. And so are the allergens. Nothing causes more trouble for allergy sufferers than a change in season. And no seasonal change is worse that the transition from winter to spring. Grass counts. Pollen counts. Flotsam in the air everywhere. Hay fever runs rampant. Allergies to cotton seed and other flying particles can cause noses to run, eyes to water, and throats to burn. It can be difficult to swallow. This can all bring on an asthma attack in an asthmatic person. Drink lots of water during the spring. Green tea helps flush extra toxins out of the body. Sometimes the best way to get relief is to go inside, where the air is more filtered. In extreme cases, prescription medicine is necessary to make life bearable again. The good news? Summer is just around the corner! Now, if there aren't any fires this year...
