Introduction To Article Marketing
Article marketing is red hot. Don't let anyone kid you. Some have proposed it is dead. They just want more share of the Article Marketing riches for themselves! Also known as Bum Marketing in some circles, Article Marketing is the process of researching niches and keywords, developing and submitting articles related directly to the topic or keywords of your product, service or niche. Its quite easy to learn and carries zero cost overhead. Always a good thing for a beginning marketer! It is also a passive income strategy, since the articles you develop will make their way to places you couldn't possibly have imagined. The article development process should begin with long-tail keyword research that relates directly to your chosen field. If you concentrate on the right keywords, avoid keyword "stuffing" your articles, and provide useful information about your topic, your articles will enjoy increasing amounts of "air time" across the Internet. There are two extremely critical components to your article: The Subject Line As they say in email marketing, "If it isn't read, you're dead" The Author Bio Box (bio = biography) This is where almost ALL the article marketing mistakes are made. It warrants an entire book on the subject. Basically, you need to be thinking up clever ways to get people to click on your links (notice I said plural! not just one link)...tactics such as placing your links EARLY in the Bio Box copy, using both anchor tags and "bare" links, and other tricks are very valuable skills as you get going in article marketing. |
