Have a company picnic on the government!
When you conduct business while entertaining clients, only half the cost is deductible. But there's an exception. One of the few nods in the Internal Revenue Code to the working stiff. It's called a company picnic. I think picnics are such a gigantic part of the fabric of American life, that the government didn't DARE limit picnics (which would have likely relegated them to the dustheap) to the 50 percent limit. So, go wild! Have a rocking, all-day, blowout affair, spare no expense, and feel comfortable in the knowledge that you can wine and dine your employees once a year and not get stuck with the dreaded one half deductible limit. |
