Article writing should be a central activity to any online marketing strategy
Writing Takes WORK! It's hard work. You get writer's block. You have to research carefully. If you know what you are doing, you let the long-tail keywords drive the direction of the article, if not the content itself. Practice Practice Practice Like anything else worth doing, article writing takes practice. A LOT of practice. When you start out, you're a babe in the proverbial woods. You don't know an article directory from a link exchange! You don't know how to craft good headlines. Or what makes a reader move down and click in the author bio box. You are a greenhorn. Many try to cheat. They buy article twisting/re-writing software. They "borrow" articles. They outsource, sometimes to places that have trouble speaking English. Don't do it! Get dirty and start writing.
An Article A Day Keeps The Wolf Away What if you devoted the time to write just ONE article per day for an entire year? Do you know what an elite group it is that publishes over 300 articles per year? Do you know the kind of POWER you can wield online by properly crafting that many articles? Your site's traffic would literally explode! Ignore Article Marketing At Your Peril You can get away without doing any article marketing. But you would be missing a huge bet. Article marketing forms a really critical foundation in an overall online marketing strategy that is difficult to replace with other tactics. In one fell swoop, you gain assets such as: 1. Branding - Your name, and the associated recognition that comes from being an author 2. A Viral weapon - Your articles invariably end up bleeding out to other sites, newsletters, other article directories. 3. Relationships - I can't tell you how many long-term Joint Venture partners I've had the pleasure of working with as a result of my article marketing efforts. This one benefit alone makes the effort worthwhile. The bottom line? Simple. Write articles. Make money. Write more articles. make MORE money. It doesn't get much simpler than that. Spread Your Articles Around Don't stop with just one article directory. Get those articles out there! If you are paranoid about duplicate content penalties, make some changes so that each article is unique, but hit the big article directories and don't be afraid to add them to blogs, friend's blogs, and newsletters. Each separate location expands the possibilities of your article going truly viral. Article marketing can be an amazingly simple and inexpensive method of marketing your business. It brands you, builds traffic, has a tendency to turn viral very quickly, and can lead to life-long relationships with other online entrepreneurs. Never overlook article marketing as a fundamental tactic in your business. |
