An Advanced FTP Client For a Freebie: Filezilla
I spent nearly 10 years using WS-FTP Pro. And then it broke. I looked at re-installing it. I then thought about upgrading it. Or changing to a different FTP Client altogether (some associates of mine use CuteFTP) But I kept hearing about Filezilla. Memberships that tout it. Friends that swear by it. And I wanted a free FTP client I could create videos of for my membership. So, I took the plunge and installed it. Took a bit of getting use to the change in the User Interface from WS-FTP. And I'm sure I'm giving up loads of features (which I never used). But it's fervently developed (just got the new version yesterday, in fact). It's stable. It's fast. And I've grown fond of it. If you are looking for a solid tool for moving files back and forth to your web assets, look no further and grab a copy of Filezilla. The price is right too!
