Add Some Traffic To Your Web Site: Use BB Two little letters: BB To an old Sysop such as myself, these letters stand for Bulletin Board. To a 12-year old arguing with his mother that "They Will NOT put my eye out!" these are the nasty little copper-colored balls that make such a mess of fruit propped up on the back fence in the yard, when shot out of a BB gun. To the Internet Marketer, they have another meaning: Bookmark Begging (BB for short) What is bookmark begging? It's pretty simple. You create a cool article, or blog post or a page on your web site, and then you ask others in your sphere of influence to bookmark said article/post/page on one of the Social Bookmarking sites such as Digg, StumbleUpon or Technorati. This creates some wonderfully high-authority backlinks and increases the possibility that others, who are NOT necessarily within your sphere of influence might do the same, adding more fuel (traffic) to the fire. There are a variety of venues for BB, including using your own newsletter or ezine (try it sometime, it works!) or mechanisms such as Twitter (only effective if you have a bunch of loyal Twitter followers). If you own a forum, just enter a BB post there.
